The holiday season can be a turning point for a maker. A customer discovers your candles while shopping for a teacher gift. Someone buys your handmade jewelry for a party. A parent picks up your art kit for a child who loves to create. One good season can bring sales, feedback, repeat customers, and the confidence to keep building.

A good weekend find feels even better when it helps fund local art. Tomorrow and Saturday, stop by 5158 N Ashland Ave for a neighborhood garage sale benefiting Create-Chicago, an art collective and collaboration center.
